Beginnings...

I leave this post here to remember the morning that the thought came to me to begin this work. I chose the name Holy Card Heaven and posted the image you see. Our close friends, Joshua and Teresa, were visiting from New Mexico. They were still asleep. We were planning to celebrate their summer birthdays in the evening. When I had shown them the collections I was putting together in Nest of the Doves they said that what meant the most to them was the sense of God's love that the holy cards made real again.
When they woke up I told them that their response had made me want to start each day by gathering all of us into the sense of God's love, into that holy friendship that these old holy cards help us to realize.
