Ascension of Jesus Christ: Solemnity, June 2/ June 5, 2011

The Ascension of Our Lord  is celebrated on the 40th day after Easter throughout the entire Christian world and in the U.S. in the ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Philadelphia, and the state of Nebraska. For all other Catholics in the U.S. the Solemnity has been moved to the following Sunday.
